Oceanic Research Institute
The Oceanic Research Institute Limited is Australia’s only independent Oceanic research organisation, with registered charity, approved research institute and DGR status. ORI is a specially created not-for-profit Company Limited by Guarantee set up specifically for Ocean research.
ORI’s charter combines field science, communication and education. We will use sustainable traditional wooden sailing research vessels equipped with the latest scientific equipment, using renewable energy with zero emissions, and embracing eight of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
OzHarvest
OzHarvest is a non-denominational charity that rescues excess food which would otherwise be discarded. This excess food is distributed to charities supporting the vulnerable in Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide and Brisbane. Australia wide OzHarvest delivers 441,500 meals per month with a fleet of 15 vans. This equates to 147 tonnes each month.
